Shift Operations

To ensure financial integrity, Nova Automation uses a strict Shift system.

Opening a Shift

• Shifts are typically opened by a Shift Supervisor.
• Requires a verified user login.
• Captures initial Totalizer values from all pumps to establish a baseline.

During the Shift

• All sales are tagged to the active ShiftID.
• Cash drops and expenses can be logged in the Cash Management view.

Closing a Shift

1. Stop Operations: Ideally, pumps should be idle.
2. Verify Totals: The system polls final totalizers.
   • Electronic Total: From the pump controller.
   • Sales Total: Sum of all recorded transactions.
   • Variance: If Electronic != Sales, the system flags a Drift Alert.
3. Print Z-Report: A comprehensive summary of fuel sold, money collected, and stock reduction.
